Daniel ‘Earl’ Kee Johnson.

 

GALLUP — Funeral Services for Daniel “Earl” Kee Johnson, 47, will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup. The Rev. Alvin and Agnes Cayatinto will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Johnson died Aug. 3, 2011, in Gallup. He was born Feb. 14, 1964, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Red Running into the Water People Clan.

Johnson worked as a buffer. He loved to play and watch basketball. Johnson’s favorite basketball team was the Chicago Bulls and his favorite football team was the Oakland Raiders. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Sandra P. Johnson, of Gallup; daughter Michelle Johnson, of Gallup; brothers Roy Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, and Ernest Johnson, all of Gallup; sisters Janice Reid, of Glendale, Ariz., Virginia Long, Agnes Smith, Laverna Johnson, and Gloria Begay, all of Gallup. Johnson was preceded in death by his father Kee Johnson; mother Jennie Johnson and brothers Bobby Johnson, Jerry Johnson and Gary Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Vincent Begay Jr., Art Smith, Jake Long, Ryan Lee, Ernest Johnson and Roy Kee Johnson.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Rock Springs Chapter House.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Eunice Valenski

WHITEHORSE LAKE — Funeral services for Eunice Valenski, 80, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at the Seven Churches of Pentecostal in Whitehorse Lake. Bishop Larry Jack will officiate. Burial will be in Whitehorse Lake family plot.

Valenski died Aug. 3, 2011, in Whitehorse Lake. She was born Sept. 25, 1930, into the Mud People Clan for the One Who Walks Around People Clan.

Valenski worked for Navajo Nation CETA, NAPI, was a McKinley County bus driver and a foster grandparent for 10 years.

Survivors include her two sons; three daughters; 24 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Valenski was preceded in death by her father Ned Valenski Sr.; mother Alice Whitehorse; brother Johnson Begay; and husband Amos Whitehorse.
Pallbearers will be Irvin Begay, William Nolan, Carlos Nolan, Sterling Begay and Cesar Ceja.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Whitehorse Lake Chapter House.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
